Eli and Ice cream

We've all seen the pictures of Grandpa sharing his strawberry sorbet with Eli.....well, he's created a monster. Last night Eli and I were in his room getting his pajamas on. As we walked back into the living room, Ben came out of the kitchen with a bowl of chocolate ice cream. Eli saw the bowl and clear as day yelled "YES!!" and ran to his Daddy to get his share. Warning to all: DO NOT EAT ICE CREAM IN FRONT OF ELI, unless you know how to share.

A Family Weekend

This weekend we headed to Memphis again to spend some time with family. My younger sister flew in from San Francisco and my older sister drove up from Raceland, LA. It was the first time all three of us had been together in I don't know when. (maybe 10 years!) The weekend was exhausting, but a real joy to watch the two small boys interact together. Eli was completely fascinated with Gabriel, but Gabriel was not too impressed with Eli always being in his face! It was amazing how different and alike they are. Gabe is a sweet heart, that is easily overwhelmed, where as Eli (being the second child) tends to take everything in stride. I hope we see Gabe again soon...he has the best smile!

Hannah was totally in her element. She loves having lots of family around, but even she was ready to go home yesterday!
