Their New Favorite Thing

My children are addicts......

and their form of drug is my Iphone and Ipad.
Any time I turn around I find them both enthralled in some game.
And what is shocking me the most is that while playing the Iphone/Ipad, they will actually sit next to each other, and not fight.
Miracles.....I'll take them however I can get them.
Maybe it's time for the kiddos to get their own Itouches for Christmas!

Reviving Clifford

I was standing in the kitchen when I heard  "MOM!  Clifford isn't breathing!!!!"

I guess I should have been startled, but my first thought was, "Goodness, what are they doing now?!?"

I walked out into the living room, and found Hannah using her air mattress pump as a CPR device.
It was very amusing to watch her try to "save" Clifford.

She was very serious about her task......who knows, maybe she will be a doctor!

Happy Medicine

A few weeks ago I had some dental work done that required me to take antibiotics and pain medicine afterwards.  Both pills were pretty potent so I decided to take them at dinner to help ensure my stomach wouldn't get upset.  Along with the medicine from the dentist, I also took my Prozac pill (just FYI, I was prescribed this for PMDD).  Hannah noticed me taking all of these different pills and asked what they were for.  I explained the antibiotics and the pain medicine, but once I arrived at the Prozac I wasn't sure how to explain, so I simply said, "And this is my happy pill."

As with everything you tell Hannah, she took that in and mulled it over for awhile before bringing it back to the service.

Fast forward to this evening.....tonight at dinner she said something funny (which I can't even recall now what that something funny was) and I smiled at her.  She laughed and told me matter of factly, "You smiled a little bit, so your happy medicine must be working."

Hannahisms

I was on the phone with my Mom the other night wrapping up our conversation and I said, "Ok, I won't bother you anymore."  Hannah heard this and in her most shocked voice said, "Did you just say you don't love her anymore?!?!"  My Mom heard Hannah's exclamation, and asked me to give her the phone.  Now, I didn't hear my Mom's side of the conversation, but the next thing to come out of Hannah's mouth had me almost crying in tears......

"Well, see, I have small ears, so sometimes I don't hear very well, so my brain makes up the words."

Classic Hannah.
