My nose is dry....

Tonight after bath Hannah said she didn't feel well and had a "very bad fever." I kissed her forehead and told her that she felt fine to me, no fever. And she said, "but Mommy my nose is dry, see? feel? That means I don't feel well." I tried my best to keep a straight face.

Yard Work

Saturday I decided it was time to get started on yard work. The outside of the house was beginning to look like no one lived here! Hannah and Eli wanted nothing to do with the word work, so they played bubbles while Mommy slaved away. The funniest thing of the day......Hannah used her little pink shovel to load Daddy's truck wheel well full of dirt. Why? "So that flowers can grow in it and make it pretty!" Of course! I don't think Daddy will agree.

Poor Eli

On the fourth evening of our trip to visit Grandma Joy and Grandpa Pat Eli began to run a low fever. Now, I do tend to over react when my children get sick mostly because my kids are rarely ever really sick (honestly I can't even remember Eli running a fever ever before this incident), and also because generally speaking whenever I get sick it is something pretty bad (mono, blood infection, food poisoning, etc.). So the next morning we headed to the Quick Med Clinic to get him checked out. Low and behold he had a slight ear infection and possibly chicken pox. Well....the pox never really showed, just one on his back, but the fever stuck around until Wednesday morning, then we headed home. Eli still isn't feeling really well, and more spots have arrived to join the party so we are headed to our Family doctor today.

Here are some more pictures from our weekend in Memphis:

It's Snowing, It's Snowing....

When we decided to head for Memphis this weekend the thought of snow never entered my mind, and then the weatherman said a possibility of 3-5 inches on Saturday. Hannah was very excited, but got discouraged as the day wore on with no snow. Then around 3 0'clock Saturday afternoon the snow started, and by Sunday morning I think we got 6 inches!!! Since we weren't expecting snow, I didn't bring snow accessories like gloves and scarfs, but we improvised with socks, plastic bags and Grandma's clothes. The kids had a great time...thank you Grandma and Grandpa for sticking it out through the cold weather to enjoy a good old fashioned snowball fight.

Sunday morning it was too cold for Eli to be out, so he watched Hannah through the window while she through snowballs at him! This is one of my favorite pictures ever.
